Adopt-A-Hen!

We're looking to raise and introduce 15 female chicks to our current flock this year and we'd love your help! We need to upgrade some of our equipment (heating lamp, waterer, feeder) and pre-purchase grain and supplies.

If you'd like to donate to the cause and "Adopt-A-Hen", click the button below! The first 15 folks who donate towards chick-care will have the option to name one of them, so send us an email with your name preference when you make your donation and we'll send you a photo of the chick you supported on pick-up day!

Hay Station

The area in the barn that we currently store the hay isn't the most ideal space, so we're hoping to build a platform area between the winter and summer barns to keep the bales from being exposed to the elements and for easier transport in any season.

Because our current setup is in the winter barn, this transition will also open space for the sheep to expand into for more protection on cold, snowy days.

Electric Fencing

Our little apiary is growing this year, but so is the black bear population. In order to keep our bees safe, we need to install an electric fence around the hives. We also need to deter deer from spending time in the gardens, so we're hoping to also put up a fence around that perimeter.

We already have the energizer, but between the two sites, we're going to need 40 fence posts, insulators and a large roll of polywire and/or polytape fencing.

General Donations
The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of philanthropic support at Mercy Ecology. It is the most direct way to further the mission of creating a more sustainable future. A gift to the Annual Fund at Mercy Ecology is an investment in the environmental education of both children and adults. It provides opportunities for teaching the Universe Story; and it increases our community health and well-being through growing and eating locally produced food, and learning about sustainable practices. Your generous support also allows us to create new programs that meet the needs of a growing, environmentally aware community.

Corporate Partners
Financial Contributions from the corporate community are also vital to our continued success. Corporate gifts are acknowledged on our website, in our annual report and in our newsletter, as well as in event invitations and programs, where appropriate.

Foundations
Grant funding is an essential piece in the success of all nonprofits. Family, community, and private foundations are ways that Mercy Ecology can partner to further its mission and vision at Mercy Ecospirituality Center.

Tributes and Memorials
Making a gift in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, or for a special occasion – such as a birthday or an anniversary – is a wonderful tribute.

Legacy Gifts
You are ready to leave a Legacy Gift when the mission and vision of an organization resonates deep within you, and the work it does grabs your heart. This is a gift that goes on living. Contact us to continue this conversation.
